Year 1 Teacher

Position: Year 1 Teacher (Contract)
Location: Tile Cross

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Birmingham on a full-time basis. This position is a maternity cover role, starting immediately after the Easter break.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly, inclusive, and forward-thinking school where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a well-behaved and enthusiastic Year 1 class, delivering creative and engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning.

The Role:

Full-time Year 1 class teacher
Full classroom responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking and assessment
Attending and contributing to parents’ evenings
Participation in staff meetings and twilight sessions
Maintaining high standards of teaching and learning

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1
Be committed, organised, and proactive
Be happy to fully immerse themselves in the role and wider school life
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one
Be able to supply references covering the past two years, commenting on your interaction with children and teaching practice
