A teaching assistant supports the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and helping pupils learn effectively. You work with individual students, small groups, or the whole class to improve learning, behavior, and development.
Main Responsibilities- Support the teacher during lessons.
- Help students with classwork (1:1 or small groups).
- Assist SEN students when required.
- Manage basic classroom behaviour.
- Ensure child safeguarding and safety.
- Prepare learning materials and resources.
- Support reading, writing, and maths activities.
- Assist with lesson tasks and classroom activities.
- Monitor and report student progress.
- Supervise pupils when necessary.
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above).
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Good communication skills and patience, Disability Confident.
