We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Male SEN Teaching Assistant to support a learner with additional needs in a special school within the Aberdare area. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder, or challenging behaviour. This is a full-time role starting in April 2026, covering the remainder of the academic year.

The Male SEN Teaching Assistant will support and supervise a male learner, assisting with classroom activities, behaviour management, and helping the learner transition at the start and end of the school day. The role involves working closely with the class teacher to deliver lessons and facilitate engaging activities aligned with individual needs.

Experience required includes a minimum of three months working with children in educational settings, ideally in SEN environments. The candidate must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one, and have the right to work in the UK. The position offers competitive daily pay, support from an education-led consultancy, flexible working hours, and other benefits including weekly pay, holiday pay, pension contribution, and access to free training. This role is suitable for an individual committed to supporting children with special educational needs and promoting inclusive education practices.

Working in a secure and supportive environment, the Male SEN Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in helping the learner to achieve their potential and participate fully in the school community. Knowledge of behaviour management policies, safeguarding procedures, and SEN-specific strategies will enhance your effectiveness within this role.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs and meet the necessary criteria, please submit your details and up-to-date CV.
