Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a special educational environment? We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support learners with additional needs in a supportive and inclusive setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school that focuses on learners with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Global Delay, and other social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support children in their learning and behavioural development, working closely with staff and managing behaviour in line with school policies.

Your role will include assisting in classroom activities, supervising learners during breaks, and helping with transition at the start and end of the school day. You will be involved in small group work or one-to-one support for children with complex needs, ensuring each learner's individual development is prioritised.

This role offers full and part-time positions with flexible hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Working in a setting that supports learners with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other learning needs, the SEN Teaching Assistant will benefit from weekly pay, holiday pay, pension contributions, and a variety of education-led training opportunities.

Candidates applying for the position must have at least three months’ experience working with children in school environments, ideally within an SEN setting. Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is required, and support can be provided to assist with this process. A current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one is essential, along with the right to work within the UK.

This position, based in Pentre, Rhondda Cynon Taf, provides an opportunity to work in primary, secondary, or SEN settings across the region. We are committed to providing flexible work arrangements that suit your needs, with support from an education-led consultant and access to a mobile booking app for shift communication.

Candidates with experience in supporting learners with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), global delay, or challenging behaviour are encouraged to apply. Skills in behaviour management, safeguarding, and SEN best practices will benefit your application.
