Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 1 (Full Time, CF11)

A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in the CF11 area is looking for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced, reliable, and enthusiastic who enjoys supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing environment.

The role:

You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support learning across the Key Stage 1 curriculum, helping children to engage in lessons, build confidence, and reach their potential. The role will involve:

Supporting children in small groups or on a 1:1 basis where needed

Assisting with phonics, literacy, and numeracy activities

Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills

Helping to prepare classroom materials and set up activities

Taking part in creative, hands-on learning both inside and outside the classroom

The ideal candidate will be someone who:

Has proven experience working in a primary school (KS1 experience is essential)

Is confident supporting children of different abilities and needs

Has a caring, patient, and proactive approach

Enjoys working as part of a friendly and supportive team

Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for education

Full-time position (Monday to Friday, school hours)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
