Lecturer - Beauty

We are seeking a Beauty Lecturer to be based at our Portree campus.

The post holders will be responsible for delivering structured training to students using a variety of approaches to enable them to meet the standards required. Carrying out assessments to the standards set by the industry/awarding body, maintaining accurate assessment records, evaluating student performance and achievement, making recommendations and highlighting support needs as appropriate are also requirements of the role.

The suitable candidates will hold an industry related qualification at SCQF Level 7 or above, combined with recent relevant industry experience is essential. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to problem solve. You must be able to relate to students of all ages and have excellent skills in communication and collaboration, teamwork, critical and creative thinking, problem solving and numeracy.

A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.

Salary: £41,833 - £50,359 per annum, pro rata

Location: Portree

Working Hours: 5 hours, Temporary until May 2026
