Teacher of Business Studies, Sgoil Lionalceit (2789)

14 hours per week, Fixed Term to August 2026.

£17,965 - £22,244 per annum, inclusive of £1,199 Distant Islands Allowance per annum.

The purpose of this post is to contribute to overall school effectiveness in respect of the following areas:

  • Curricular
  • Care and welfare
  • Collegiate
  • Professional development
Duties
  • Teach assigned classes, including preparation and correction.
  • Develop the school curriculum.
  • Assess, record and report on pupils' work.
  • Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration.
  • Provide advice and guidance to pupils on education-related issues.
  • Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils.
  • Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
  • Undertake appropriate and agreed continuing professional development.
  • Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.
  • Contribute to good order and the wider needs of the school.

    • Requirements:

    • Appropriate degree/diploma and GTC Scotland Registration.
    • Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
    • Position covers the maternity leave of the current postholder.
