Responsibilities
- Plan and teach well‑structured lessons to small groups of pupils following the school's plans, curriculum, and schemes of work.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
- Support and develop other staff.
- Lead on teaching and learning and curriculum initiatives.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and a range of professionals.
- Develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Teach a range of subjects to a small group of pupils ranging from KS3 to KS4.
- Assist with middle‑level management with 50% teaching responsibilities.
We are looking for an inspirational qualified teacher who has experience working with vulnerable children in school and preferably some leadership experience.
Qualifications- Qualified Teacher Status
- Successful teaching experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
- Qualified SENCO or experience desirable
- Primary/Nurture training
- Proven ability to offer dynamic & engaging lessons
- SEN experience and a focus on nurture – SEMH/ASD
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs and a commitment to developing new skills through professional opportunities

Hours:
8.30am – 4.30pm (35 hours per week).
Start Date:
February 2026.
The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by ISP School Teynham.
