About the role
The ability to communicate in Welsh and English is essential.
Successful applicants will:
- Meet the personal needs of pupils and implement relevant personal programmes, including social, health, physical, emotional, first support and wellbeing.
- Support and encourage pupils with special educational needs to ensure their safety and access to learning.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
- Provide feedback to pupils on progress, performance, behaviour, attendance, and other areas.
- Promote confidence and acceptance among all pupils.
- Identify pupils to interact with others and participate in activities under the guidance of the teacher or teaching assistant.
- Identify pupils to work independently where appropriate.
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has excellent numeracy/letter skills.
- Participates in development and training opportunities.
- Works constructively and flexibly as part of a team, with responsibilities and duties of the classroom staff, and has a comfortable personal space within that role.
The ideal applicant will enjoy working in a supportive environment, using their mindset, with a positive outlook and genuine interest in supporting pupils' learning needs.
