History Teacher

Location: Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education are recruiting a knowledgeable History Teacher to join a secondary school near Boroughbridge, delivering engaging and culturally-rich history lessons.

This inclusive community secondary setting values broad historical understanding and critical thinking. Teachers work to make history relevant and accessible, encouraging pupils to explore past events and their impact on the present.

• Teach History across KS3 and KS4
• Plan engaging lessons with a focus on enquiry and interpretation
• Prepare pupils for examinations and assessments
• Support departmental initiatives and school events

• QTS with History specialism
• Experience teaching secondary History
• Strong curriculum knowledge and confidence in classroom practice
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
