Full-time (Monday Friday) We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and reflective Year 2 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school community. Key Responsibilities and Role:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum Take full responsibility for the progress, attainment and wellbeing of all pupils in the class Use assessment effectively to inform planning and provide targeted support Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment Establish clear expectations for behaviour and learning Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers Contribute to wider school life and ongoing school development Fulfil all professional duties associated with a class teacher role About You We are looking for a teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has a good understanding of teaching and learning in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2 Is passionate about providing high-quality education for all pupils Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour Demonstrates strong classroom organisation and behaviour management skills Is reflective, adaptable and keen to develop professionally Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and families Shares a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Why Horizon Teachers?
