SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Filey area, North Yorkshire
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education are seeking a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs within a specialist or mainstream setting in the Filey area.

This setting supports pupils with SEND, SEMH and communication needs through personalised learning, consistent routines and a nurturing approach that promotes confidence and engagement.

• Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
• Assist with personalised learning plans
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Encourage independence and engagement
• Work closely with teachers and support staff

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs
• Understanding of behaviour support strategies
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
