Teacher of RE & Head of Year

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Salary: Main/Upper Scale plus TLR 2

Start: April or September 2026

The Governors of St Patrick’s RC High School are looking to appoint a Teacher of RE and Head of Year who will lead the successful RE department and the pastoral care of a year group. This role offers the opportunity to work with experienced teams and to contribute to pupil enjoyment and progress.

• Teach RE with a strong, detailed knowledge of the subject.
• Maintain a high‑quality learning environment and appropriate resources.
• Deliver outstanding attainment and progress for all students.
• Inspire, engage and enthuse students.
• Foster independent and collaborative, student‑led learning.
• Lead pastoral care as a dynamic middle leader, driving behaviour, attendance and welfare for the chosen year group.

• Experience teaching RE and leading a year group.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the pastoral leadership team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
