Teacher Active is working closely with Further Education colleges across Birmingham to recruit an experienced and motivated Maths Lecturer to deliver GCSE Mathematics resit programmes, A-Level Maths and Functional Skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who thrives on supporting post-16 learners to improve confidence and close gaps in understanding.

The Role

Teaching GCSE Maths resit classes and other areas when required to post-16 learners

Planning engaging, differentiated lessons to meet diverse needs

Supporting learners who may have had negative prior experiences of maths

Monitoring progress and preparing students for GCSE examinations

Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

Holds QTS, PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification

Has experience delivering Mathematics, ideally within FE

Confident teaching resit cohorts and supporting reluctant learners

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Committed to raising achievement and learner outcomes

Requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
