Design Coordinator - Flexible working hours and hybrid opportunity

We are working on behalf of a Fit-Out company who offer exemplary fit‑out, joinery and bespoke works on projects for clients Nationally and Internationally, ranging in project sectors but primarily high end retail, hotels, leisure, commercial, hospitality and luxury living.

Due to the continued growth within the company they seek a Design Coordinator with joinery or fit‑out project experience, to join its award‑winning Technical team, delivering exemplary design services across its wide ranging client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate joinery design information from concept, tender, and construction stages.
  • Review architect, interior designer, and contractor drawings for buildability.
  • Ensure designs comply with project specifications, standards, and workshop capabilities.
  • Manage drawing registers, revision control, and approvals.
  • Issue drawings to production & procurement.
  • Ensure drawings include all required information, including materials, finishes, fixings, tolerances, and assembly methods.
  • Support value engineering and practical design solutions to reduce cost and lead time.
  • Track and manage design changes and variations.
  • Assess the impact of design changes on cost, programme, and production.
  • Ensure all revisions are clearly communicated and superseded drawings are withdrawn.
  • Support quality control by ensuring drawings reflect approved samples and mock‑ups.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Carry out accurate surveys.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in joinery, fit‑out, or bespoke furniture manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of workshop processes and manufacturing constraints.
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD essential; Solid Works / Fusion / Inventor advantageous)
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a practical, problem‑solving approach.
  • Must hold a current driver’s licence.
