PDS £54,117 - £81,174 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum

37.5 hours per week with Variable Hours Available by Agreement

We are offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic dentist to join the Public Dental Service team. The successful candidate will be based in Uist & Barra Hospital and may also work at additional locations depending on clinical commitment and skills. Travel or accommodation expenses for additional clinics will be covered.

The role includes providing dental care for priority group patients, including children and adults who require additional support, in static clinical environments as well as care homes and other domiciliary settings. Dental care provision will involve delivering a range of treatments in sometimes challenging environments for patients with additional and complex needs.

• Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum
• Remote Areas Allowance: £4,500 per annum for years 1-3; £9,000 per annum for years 3+ pro rata
• Recruitment and Retention Allowance of £25,000 paid over 2 years (subject to eligibility)
• Out of Hours Allowance and on‑call payment for undertaking on‑call duties
• Up to 33 days annual leave per annum plus 8 public holidays (dependent on NHS service)
