Location: Osmotherley

We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our Customer Collections Team based in a call centre environment in Middlesbrough.

Pay: £12.33 per hour
Salary: £25,645.40 per annum

Monday to Friday with 1 Saturday in every 3 weeks.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 9am‑8pm and Saturday 9am‑1pm. Contracted to 40 hours per week.

Start date:

Monday 26th January 2026.

As a Customer Service Advisor you will work within the Collections department and act as the first point of contact for customers. Through great conversations you will understand the customer’s financial situation, take full ownership during the call and support the customer to a resolution.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Arrange collection of debt through telephone, email and online services.
  • Contact consumers to put in place tailored solutions that enable them to address their debt situation while considering their financial well‑being.
  • Send out financial statements, evidence and response packs.
  • Work with vulnerable consumers in line with the firm's policies and procedures.
  • Put customers first – take ownership of their queries, build rapport quickly and provide the highest level of customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience in difficult situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of customer contact systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to assess and organise information.
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly.
  • Confidence to make decisions within agreed discretionary limits.

ADBS and Financial check will be completed as part of the vetting process.
