Total Fee:£4,810.00 (based on 3 days of pre and post project pre and evaluation work, 2 days support work to be split into half days between screenings, 18 rehearsal days @£150 and 8 performance days @£170)
The RoleYou will provide a blend of artistic advocacy, personal care assistance, and administrative support. Your goal is to ensure the artists can fulfil their creative potential by removing barriers and providing tailored, person‑centred support in a rehearsal and performance environment.
Key Responsibilities- Artist Support:
Assist with travel (driving or public transport) to rehearsals in Brighton and the performance venue in Lewes. - Creative Assistance:
Support artists during rehearsals, performances, costume fittings and photoshoots. - Advocacy:
Act as a respectful voice for artists’ needs; facilitate communication and problem‑solving. - Wellbeing:
Provide emotional support and help manage physical conditions or environmental triggers. - Daily Tasks:
Assist with project‑related admin and personal care tasks as required.
Essential:
- Experience as an Artist Advocate, Personal Assistant, or Support Worker.
- Experience supporting people with disabilities and an understanding of neurodiversity.
- Full UK Driving License or independent means of transport.
- Current DBS check and registered as self‑employed.
- Highly empathetic, patient, and a proactive “situation reader.”
Desirable:
- Professional background in the arts or performance sector.
- Interest in sensory theatre and inclusive cinema.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a sense of humour.
- Adaptability to changing needs and high‑pressure performance environments.

Rehearsals Jun 2-4, 9-12;
Performances Jun 13–14 - Autumn Block x4 days:
Rehearsals Sep 16-17;
Performances Sep 19-20 - Winter Block x4 days:
Rehearsals Dec 9-10;
Performances Dec 12-13 - Spring Block 2027×5 days:
Rehearsals Mar 16-18;
Performances Mar 20-21 (TBC) - Evaluation x 1 day:
