Project Manager – Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship

Are you organised, driven, and ready to build a career delivering complex projects safely and efficiently? Join Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) and play a key role in the safe decommissioning and environmental restoration of nuclear sites across the UK.

What is the Apprenticeship?

This Government‑approved Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship is a 24‑month programme designed to provide both academic knowledge and hands‑on project experience within the nuclear sector. The programme includes:

  • A structured 24‑month virtual training programme with catapwlt
  • Four days per week of practical, on‑the‑job project experience at the Trawsfynydd site
  • Mentoring from experienced Project Management professionals
  • Training in real‑world nuclear environments where safety, quality and governance are critical
  • On successful completion you will achieve a Level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification (equivalent to the first year of a degree)

NRS Trawsfynydd Site, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, LL41 4DT

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday, 07:25 – 17:00 (37 hours per week) with a 20‑minute unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of projects across the nuclear site
  • Assist with scheduling, cost control, risk management and reporting activities
  • Learn how projects are governed and delivered in a highly regulated environment
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders
  • Apply project management tools and techniques to real‑world challenges
Entry Requirements & What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking motivated individuals with a strong interest in organisation, leadership and project delivery.

  • Be 18 years old or older by 3 August 2026
  • Have achieved 5 GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) including English and Maths
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification (such as A‑Levels, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
