Job Title:
Site Manager (Hands-On / Working Foreman) Placr's client is currently looking to appoint a hands-on, tool-led Site Manager to support the delivery of small, architect-led residential projects. This is not a traditional management-only role. The successful candidate will be expected to actively work on the tools while organising and leading site operations. The position is ideally suited to an experienced builder, lead carpenter, or working foreman who is used to running smaller residential projects while remaining directly involved in the build.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and organise day-to-day site operations on small residential builds Actively work on the tools alongside the team Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site Maintain programme timelines and ensure projects remain on track Uphold high standards of workmanship and attention to detail Problem-solve in real time and make practical, buildable decisions Ensure health & safety compliance on site Liaise with architects, clients, and suppliers as required
