Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working independently to procure and manage subcontractors and working closely with the project teams to ensure commercial excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Procuring and managing subcontractors to ensure best value while maintaining quality standards
- Producing valuations, monitoring budgets and preparing comprehensive commercial reports
- Assessing commercial risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- Supporting the preparation and submission of project variations
- Maximising cash flow through proper measurement and valuation of work
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our A66 NTP Widening team based in Penrith. In this role you'll play a vital role in managing commercial resources to maximise value and maintain quality and safety on a range of contracts. We're looking for someone who can blend analytical skills with relationship building to deliver commercial excellence.
Qualifications- Hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying and bring strong commercial acumen
- Have proven experience in a similar role within Construction or Highways, ideally with a Tier 1 Main Contractor
- Are confident working with the NEC suite of contracts
- Communicate clearly and enjoy building effective relationships across teams and stakeholders
- Are highly organised with excellent time management skills, Disability Confident

Salary & Benefits£40,000 - £55,000 per year + £5k annual car allowance + excellent benefits
