We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading finishing contractor based in Tilbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality results.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage all aspects of cost control and financial management for finishing projects.
• Prepare and review bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and variations.
• Provide accurate monthly valuations and financial reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and site teams to maintain strong communication and resolve issues promptly.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working for a finishing contractor (essential).
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and finishing trades.
• Excellent understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects (NEC Essential)
• Proficient in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, cost management tools).
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work full-time from the office in Tilbury.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
