Quantity Surveyor Regional Construction Contractor
Sittingbourne
£50,000 per annum
Hill McGlynn Recruitment is pleased to be working with a respected regional construction company based in Sittingbourne, who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
Our client delivers a varied portfolio of works, including cut and carve, fit out, refurbishment, extensions, and new build projects, with project values typically ranging from £200,000 to £3m. They are open to candidates who can operate in a mixed commercial and project management role, making this an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded construction professional.
The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects while also supporting delivery on site. This role will suit someone comfortable working closely with site teams and, where required, taking on elements of project management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commercial management of multiple construction projects
- Preparing budgets, cost plans, and valuations
- Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts
- Pricing and negotiating variations and final accounts
- Cost reporting and financial forecasting
- Working closely with site teams to support project delivery
- Assisting with project management duties where required, including programme and site coordination
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Some on-site experience is essential
- Background in refurbishment, fit out, cut and carve, or new build projects
- Experience managing projects or supporting project delivery is highly advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with site teams
- £50,000 salary + car allowance
