Opportunity for an Estimator to join a Tier 1 company who are looking to expand their precon team

About the role of Estimator

As an Estimator, you will be joining a Tier 1 Main Contractor in their fit out division. They are focusing on fast paced commercial CAT A and B fit outs, mainly in zones 1 and 2, with valuations of around 15 million. Currently, they have a strong pipeline and recently acquired a huge blue-chip client.

The ideal candidate will have 5 + years estimating experience and a strong background in fit out. You will be motivated, ambitious and looking to grow alongside a business.

Responsibilities for Estimator

• Carry out detailed quantity take offs from drawings and specifications
• Use estimating software
• Prepare & issue subcontractor enquiries
• Chase quotes & manage deadlines
• Assist in the cost planning at pre tender or early design stage
• Take ownership of entire tender packages
• Regular interaction with Senior Estimators / Estimating Managers, Commercial team, Design Managers, Planners, etc
• Attend post tender interviews
• Assist with handover to the commercial & site teams
• Be a mentor / guide for Junior team members

Requirements for Estimator

• 5+ years experience
• Strong background in CAT A/B fit out
• Live within commutable distance to City of London
