Contract: Permanent Full-Time
Salary: £13.50 £ 14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Positions Available: 2 (Baby Room Leader & Pre-School Room Leader)

About the Roles

ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are supporting a vibrant nursery in Peterborough in recruiting two passionate Room Leaders for their Baby Room and Pre-School Room.

These are exciting opportunities to create nurturing, engaging environments where young learners can explore, develop, and thrive. As a Room Leader, you'll guide your team in delivering high-quality care and education, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire your room team to deliver exceptional standards of care and education
• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities in line with EYFS 2025
• Support children's individual needs through tailored care plans, including those with SEND
• Act as Key Person, building strong relationships with families
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Foster positive behaviour management strategies
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure emergency procedures are up to date
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare (UK recognised)
• Health and Social Care qualifications are not recognised by Ofsted
• Proven nursery experience with strong room management and leadership skills

• Sound knowledge of childhood development and EYFS 2025 framework
• Experience with behaviour management in early years settings
• First Aid certification (or willingness to complete we can arrange training)
• Enhanced DBS check required

Desirable:

• Experience with infants, toddlers, or children with SEND
• Previous Room Leader or supervisory experience
