This is more than a job – it’s a chance to build something special from the ground up.
We are proud to be growing and opening a brand new children’s residential home in March 2026, designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment for children and young people up to the age of 17. We are now recruiting passionate and experienced Senior Residential Care Workers to join us ahead of opening and help shape the culture, standards, and future of the home from day one.
Why Join Us at the Start?

* Help shape the ethos, routines, and values of the home
* Work alongside supportive, values-driven leadership
* Make a genuine, long-term difference to children’s lives
The Role
As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital leadership role within the home and support the Registered and Deputy Managers to deliver outstanding care.
You will:
* Act as a positive role model and shift leader for the team
* Create a warm, safe, and stable home environment
* Support children and young people with daily routines, education, appointments, and activities
* Take key-worker responsibility and contribute to care planning and reviews
* Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to support behaviour
* Build strong relationships with families, social workers, and professionals
* Ensure safeguarding, recording, and handovers meet high standards
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
* Are passionate about residential childcare and child-centred care
* Are calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
* Enjoy leading, supporting, and developing others
* Have strong communication and written skills
* Want to grow with a new service and be part of its journey
Essential Requirements
* Minimum age: 22 years
* Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
* Ability to work rota-based shifts including days and waking nights
* Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
What We Offer
* Competitive salary of £31,500 – £35,500 per annum
* Opportunity to be part of a brand-new home opening March 2026
* Comprehensive induction and pre-opening training
* Ongoing professional development and progression opportunities
* Supportive, values-led organisation focused on doing the right thing
If you’re excited by the idea of helping to build a home, not just work in one, we would love to hear from you
