Deputy Manager

As a Nursery Deputy Manager in Appletree Childcare, your role is to support the Day-care Manager by managing the setting on a daily basis. You, along with your team will ensure the children that attend the setting receive the highest standard of care and you create an environment that supports their learning, development and well-being. You will safeguard all children and ensure that their individual needs are met.

• Be focused, committed and passionate about delivering great quality care to the children and parents.
• Ensure the children’s well-being, and health and safety are your highest priority.
• Carry out regular risk assessments in the rooms checking that all equipment is safe to use and meets Health and Safety requirements.
• Ensure any child protection concerns are dealt with in line with the Child protection policy and any other relevant policies.
• Lead and be part of the team.
• Undertake appropriate supervision meetings for the members of your team.
• Be aware of all policies and procedures and adhere to them.

• QCF Level 5 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development or Play work; or a relevant occupational qualification in early years’ education, social work, nursing, teaching or health visiting
  
  OrWilling to work towards Level 5.
• 2 years experience preferred.
• Communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to lead and be part of a team.
• First Aid. Designated Child Protection Training. Food Hygiene. Fire Safety.

Work Time:
Minimum of 15.5 hours.
