As part of Customer Outcomes Testing Team, we operate as a critical control providing first line of defence assurance so that Nationwide remains compliant and delivers fair member outcomes and good member experiences. We undertake these quality assurance assessments on high-risk Economic Crime processes regularly.

The role sits within the Customer Outcomes Testing Team, and we are responsible for supporting the delivery of good member outcomes which are aligned to consumer duty requirements, legislation, regulation and the QA standards across Economic Crime.

The team aims to deliver independent assurance of outcomes as expected by our customers and business areas. They embrace change and are willing to adjust testing accordingly to meet changing needs within Outcomes Testing.

What you’ll be doing

You will be analysing Society-wide Fraud and/or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) complex business processes, customer journeys and data as well as communications and conduct risks. You’ll also be identifying weaknesses, regulatory breaches, and poor customer outcomes along with ensuring that business outcomes are correct.

You will be reporting back findings concisely to provide assurance to the Material Risk Takers (MRT), instructing remedial member action where required and driving procedural change to increase adherence to policy, regulation and code.

About you
  • Extensive knowledge and/or investigation skills in Outcomes Testing and of Economic Crime in Fraud and/or AML
  • Exceptional investigative and analytical skills, enabling thorough evaluation of complex information to establish facts and apply sound judgment in reaching well-informed, evidence-based outcomes
  • A meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate identification of issues or inconsistencies in tested outcomes, contributing to high-quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Confident and accountable decision-making, demonstrating autonomy and ownership while navigating complex scenarios and delivering robust conclusions
  • Confident in challenging and influencing when required (both verbally and in writing)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to capture your findings and conclusions

Supporting the team to effectively prioritise risk by identifying key areas of Economic Crime risk and testing for the annual plan.
