Commercial Buyer

Commercial Buyer Swindon | £40,000 per annum bonus | Hybrid: 2 days home / 3 days office | Monday to Friday | Permanent Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Retail Senior Buyer to join a forward-thinking and expanding commercial team near Swindon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive, ambitious, and growing business.

Key Duties Lead procurement of goods and services to meet commercial and operational targets.

Drive strategic sourcing activity and manage supplier relationships.

Lead, coach, and mentor junior procurement team members.

Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, pricing structures, and rebate agreements.

Work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, and other internal stakeholders.

Support procurement activity across construction and retail fit-out projects.

Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and pricing compliance.

Develop procurement schedules using project specifications and drawings.

Ensure compliance with internal processes and health and safety requirements.

Requirements Strong experience within a buying or procurement role.

Excellent Excel skills and strong general IT competency.

Proven negotiation skills and ability to build long-term supplier relationships.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

CIPS, CIOB, or RICS qualification (or working towards) desirable.

Full UK driving licence.
