Role Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Mobile Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles to the highest technical and safety standards. This is a mobile role, and a company van will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs on a range of vehicles.

  • Inspect vehicles to identify faults, defects, or potential failures and report findings.

  • Replace tyres as required, ensuring all work meets technical and safety standards.

  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently.

  • Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures at all times.

  • Clearly communicate with customers regarding the work required and completed.

  • Ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy before returning them to service.

  • Identify required repairs and faulty components in line with technical documentation.

Key Objectives
  • Minimise vehicle off-road (VOR) time by ensuring quick and effective repairs.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and communication at all times.

  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers to support timely turnaround of vehicles.

  • Support parts ordering and stock management for the fleet.

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless repair process.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential – company van provided)

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to explain technical issues in simple terms to customers

  • IMI Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds)

Experience & Attributes

Essential:

  • Experience in a mobile or workshop technician role

  • Comfortable working with a variety of commercial vehicle types

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

  • Positive, customer-focused attitude

  • Team-oriented but able to work independently

Desirable:

  • Experience using IDS diagnostic machines
