Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Order Processor / Quote Processor to join our team at our Manningtree site. This role is critical to ensuring quotes and orders are processed efficiently, customers are kept fully informed, and production and delivery run smoothly.
You will be the key link between customers, the internal processing team, and production, ensuring nothing is missed and communication is clear at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quoting
* Distribute quotes to the correct internal team member
* Log and monitor all quotes accurately
* Ensure all quotes are completed and sent within 24 hours
* Call customers after sending quotes to confirm receipt
* Build rapport and trust with customers
2. Order Handling
* Distribute orders to the appropriate internal team
* Log and monitor all orders from receipt to completion
* Apply the same control and follow-up standards as with quotes
3. Order Confirmation Control
Daily tracking of:
* Orders received
* Order confirmations sent
* Signed confirmations returned
Chase the processing team if confirmations are not sent within 24 hours
4. Production & Delivery Oversight
* Monitor and check:
* Delivery dates
* Material orders
* Glass order
Identify potential issues early and escalate as needed
Communicate any delays to customers immediately
5. Communication
* Make phone calls for key updates and follow-ups
* Send emails to confirm discussions and agreements
* Maintain a clear, polite, and professional tone at all times
* Never assume someone else has informed the customer – ownership of communication is essential
Skills & Attributes
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Attention to detail and ability to track multiple orders simultaneously
* Confident speaking with customers by phone
* Proactive approach with a problem-solving mindset
* Previous experience in order processing, quoting, or the fenestration/window industry is desirable but not essential
Working Hours & Location
* Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
* Based on-site
