A growing and successful accountancy practice based in Budleigh Salterton is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team preparing and reviewing year‑end accounts, tax compliance across both personal and corporate tax along with overseeing VAT, Bookkeeping and wider services, as key right‑hand support to the firm’s managers and partners. You will have increasing client‑management responsibility, develop teams, and enjoy a clear path for career progression.

Based in Budleigh Salterton this well‑established and successful firm acts for very wide ranging clients across varying industries and turnover, including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, SMEs and OMBs. The firm has a good reputation, has been undergoing sustained positive growth and is looking to hire as a result. It also offers a supportive environment where you will be encouraged and supported to develop further in areas of technical interest.

Joining as Senior Accountant from the firm’s Budleigh Salterton offices you will be responsible for the preparation and review of year‑end accounts, personal and corporate tax compliance, overseeing VAT, bookkeeping and other wider services. You will act for clients across varied industries and turnover ranges, take on increasing client‑management responsibility, help develop and mentor teams, and progress in your accountancy‑practice career within a successful and growing chartered firm.

You may be qualified, or a part/finalist across any of AAT, ATT, ACA/ACCA etc., or have developed your career through experience only. Your background should be within accounts/tax and general accountancy‑practice service delivery to broad clients (sole trade, partnership, limited company). You should have progressed to around the Senior Accountant level and be seeking a challenging new career opportunity. Full‑time or part‑time hours can be explored and are mouldable around the preferences of the right candidate.

Circa £29,000 – £36,000, dependent on the background experience and level of the right professional, plus benefits, negotiable.
