Position Overview:

As a Sous Chef at The Postcard Hotel, you will play a key leadership role in the kitchen, ensuring exceptional culinary standards, refined presentation, and seamless operations. This position is ideal for culinary professionals with luxury hotel experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead teams while delivering elevated dining experiences that reflect The Postcard philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily kitchen operations across assigned sections, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.

• Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, costing, and quality control.

• Lead, mentor, and train culinary teams to uphold The Postcard’s culinary standards and discipline.

• Ensure impeccable hygiene, sanitation, and adherence to food safety protocols across the kitchen.

• Maintain efficient mise-en-place, inventory control, and proper utilization of ingredients.

• Ensure refined plating and presentation aligned with luxury dining expectations.

• Coordinate closely with F&B Service to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.

• Support innovation using seasonal produce while maintaining authenticity and brand philosophy.

Candidate Profile:

• Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred).

• 5–8 years of professional culinary experience, with mandatory luxury hotel exposure.

• Strong multi-cuisine knowledge with excellent plating and presentation skills.

• Fluent communication skills and confidence in guest interaction.

• Proven ability to lead teams with composure, discipline, and creativity.

• Strong understanding of food safety, cost control, and operational planning.

• Appreciation for The Postcard brand’s culinary philosophy, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
