Principal Research Scientist

Object Video Labs, a subsidiary of , is seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our team as a Research Scientist. The role focuses on solving real-world problems within our expanding R&D team and driving research initiatives that contribute to groundbreaking discoveries and the organization's mission.

In this position, you will engage in pioneering research in intelligent video analytics to enhance smart home applications. Your work will involve inventing, refining, and adapting state-of-the-art techniques in computer vision and machine learning, applied across edge and cloud platforms.

Our rapidly growing research group offers opportunities to explore innovative ideas, take leadership roles, mentor junior members, and oversee complex projects in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in deep learning and generative AI for visual recognition and video analytics, with expertise in model optimization.

Areas of interest include but are not limited to:

• Vision foundation models
• Image and video analysis using vision-language models
• Image and video synthesis with generative AI
• Customizing large language models
• Pattern discovery and anomaly detection
• Object detection, tracking, association, attribute classification, and re-identification
• Human pose estimation, action, and activity recognition
• Face detection, verification, and recognition
• Semantic, instance, and panoptic segmentation
• Other duties as assigned

Candidate Profile:

• PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong research background in computer vision and deep learning
• Proven problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios
• Programming skills in Python, C, C++, with frameworks like PyTorch and Tensor Flow
• Experience managing research teams
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of system architectures and distributed systems
• Experience with model deployment tools like ONNX, OpenVINO, or TensorRT
• Familiarity with model optimization techniques such as distillation and quantization
