Community Associations Associate Attorney - Virginia

A highly respected Virginia-based law firm is seeking a Community Associations Associate Attorney to join its established HOA and Community Association practice group. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2-4 years of collections experience who is looking for meaningful responsibility, direct client contact, and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a high-volume caseload of HOA and community association collection matters

• Handle court appearances and post-judgment enforcement actions

• Interpret governing documents and draft legal opinions

• Work closely with shareholders, paralegals, and administrative staff

• Communicate regularly with HOA boards and management companies

• Attend on-site meetings, elections, and board sessions

• Manage billing for hourly and fixed-fee matters

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school

• Active Virginia Bar license (required)

• 2-4 years of collections experience

• Knowledge of FDCPA compliance and district court procedures

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
