Position: Senior Technical Project Manager (Web & Digital Marketing)

Senior Technical Project Manager (Web & Digital Marketing) Overview

You love turning digital ideas into action. You’re great at organizing, planning, and keeping things moving forward. You’re comfortable in a fast‑paced agency environment, working closely with developers, designers, and strategists to bring websites and digital campaigns to life. This is a full‑time role, hybrid work model, based in Tysons, VA (three days in office per week), helping support web builds and digital marketing initiatives, while supporting brand and creative projects as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple web development projects across multiple clients
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between web developers, internal teams, and Client Services
  • Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Create, assign, prioritize, and manage development tickets in Jira to balance workloads and meet delivery timelines
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, capacity plans, and release timelines throughout the project lifecycle
  • Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and scope changes; communicate impacts and mitigation strategies to stakeholders
  • Partner with Client Services to manage scope, budget, and profitability, adjusting plans as needed and build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and clients
  • Perform hands‑on QA of Word Press builds, including validating requirements, testing functionality, and identifying defects
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and help resolve technical issues related to Word Press themes, plugins, integrations, hosting environments, and deployments
  • Ensure readiness for launches and releases across development, staging, and production environments
  • Establish clear expectations for deliverables, acceptance criteria, and quality standards and maintain consistent processes, documentation, and best practices across projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, tools, and methodologies
Skills and Talents
  • 8+ years of project management or web/digital production experience; agency background is a plus
  • Proven ability to independently run complex web development projects in an agency or client‑services environment
  • Deep understanding of Word Press websites, including themes, plugins, CMS workflows, and common hosting environments
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira (required), plus Figma, Marker.io, Trello, or Asana
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivery in iterative cycles
  • Strong communication skills for bridging gaps between clients, strategists, designers, and developers
  • Comfort with budgeting, resourcing, and scoping web and digital marketing initiatives
Attributes
  • You’re curious about how websites and digital projects work — and want to get more technical over time
  • You enjoy collaborating with both technical and marketing teammates, translating strategy into tasks and tech into plain English
  • You’re organized, detail‑oriented, and can juggle multiple digital projects without losing track
  • You’re proactive and solutions‑oriented — you anticipate what’s next, not just react to what’s happening
  • You care about quality and user experience across web and digital marketing platforms
  • You thrive in fast‑moving environments and adapt quickly when priorities change
Education and Experience

Hands‑on experience managing website or digital marketing projects end‑to‑end

Prior exposure to an agency or client‑facing role is highly preferred
