Senior Oracle Payroll Systems Analyst
The Senior Oracle Systems Analyst is responsible for planning, optimizing, configuring, and maintaining payroll and HCM systems while overseeing training initiatives. This role provides analytical expertise to payroll and related departments and collaborates on updates, implementation, and organizational change management of new system functionality.
Responsibilities- Partners with payroll and finance leadership teams and key stakeholders to develop and implement payroll systems strategy.
- Develop strategies and roadmaps for Oracle HCM applications that align with business goals.
- Lead the implementation of Oracle HCM solutions and updates including configuration and customization.
- Develops and manages implementation plans for payroll system updates and releases, ensuring alignment with IT and payroll for timely execution.
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves technical and procedural payroll system issues.
- Maintains system protocols through documentation and procedural updates.
- Configures payroll systems and ensures timely training delivery.
- Develops and executes organizational change management plans for new system functionalities and updates.
- Collects and analyzes payroll system usage data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assesses and provides ongoing training needs related to payroll systems, ensuring materials remain current with system releases and functionality updates.
- Conducts quality assurance analysis, performs system audits, and ensures payroll data integrity.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in system design and implementation.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of functional and technical experience, including an in-depth understanding of payroll systems and associated processes.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud payroll systems preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise-wide payroll systems, including system configuration.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Deep understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Experience working in a multi‑state or global payroll environment.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively to achieve key outcomes with minimal direction.
- Strong collaboration and critical listening skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles as needed.
- Ability to manage and interpret complex data, draw sound conclusions, and communicate insights effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to various situations and individuals while maintaining a solution-focused approach.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Federal client.
