Telecommunications Estimator

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Telecommunications Estimator
. They will be responsible for supporting telecommunication project teams in preparing cost estimates for bids and proposals. This is a direct placement role on-site at Tysons Corner, Virginia
. This is a great opportunity to join rapidly expanding work in the NOVA region.

• Gathering data and assisting in preparing bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, project specifications and project schedule.
• Performing take-offs from drawings; pricing change orders and conducting site visits to understand the constructability of projects.
• Understanding plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed and to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• 2-3 years’ experience working in the Communications field with added experience in low voltage systems preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience working on estimates and proposal development.
• Familiarity with communications and low voltage equipment, materials, and specifications.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience with contract documents such as contract drawings, specifications, and other bid documents.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is required.
• Experience with estimating software and performing labor and material takeoffs.
• Accu Bid experience preferred.

• Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000
  * depending on experience*
