We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Integrity Monitor Investigator to join our GPS (Government and Public Sector) practice.

Cohn Reznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Conduct daily construction project site visits to monitor for compliance with contractual and legal requirements including but not limited to:
    • labor and prevailing wage compliance;
    • time and materials billing compliance;
    • Sign in/Sign out compliance; and
    • Compliance with OSHA safety standards, including documentation and reporting of hazardous materials and unsafe work conditions.
  • Conduct compliance spot checks for lapses in safety and security and notify project staff of same.
  • Interview workers and site personnel.
  • Verify worker credentials/licenses to detect unauthorized or unqualified labor.
  • Cultivate relationships with site workers and develop intelligence and confidential sources of information.
  • Liaise effectively with project staff, contractors, subcontractors, and external agencies as needed.
  • Observe and report on progress of work and new contractors on site.
  • Monitor inventory management and the proper storage and security of materials and equipment.
  • Verify Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MWDBE) program compliance.
  • Verify site work permits.
  • Initiate follow-up investigations and document reviews, as needed.
  • Investigate labor fraud, overbilling, theft, improper billing, and other irregularities as observed.
  • Prepare detailed daily activity reports, document findings, take photographs and upload into case management system.
  • Monitor hotline tips and complaints, as appropriate.
  • Develop reports of findings and support actions to mitigate future risks and ensure contract integrity.
YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent Law Enforcement Academy training.
  • Minimum of 15 years investigative and/or law enforcement experience, preferably with a focus on white collar crime, construction fraud and public integrity.
  • Experience working in an oversight capacity.
  • OSHA certification (30-hour Construction Safety and Health preferred).
  • Site safety manager certification (preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of labor regulations, union rules and safety compliance
