Role Summary
You will own the pipeline. Not manage it—own it. This is a revenue-driving role with direct line to the President. You’ll originate deals, develop teaming partnerships, and close contracts. We’re looking for a hunter who creates margin, not a relationship manager who waits for the phone to ring.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement (40%)
- Build and maintain relationships with federal clients at all levels
- Represent company at industry events and conferences (50%+ external presence)
- Develop teaming and partner relationships
- Identify and prioritize market opportunities across our service areas
- Advise leadership on market trends and strategic positioning
- Capture Management (35%)
- Own pipeline development from identification to close
- Lead capture efforts on strategic opportunities
- Develop win strategies and competitive positioning
- Manage bid/no-bid process and gate reviews
- Drive win rate improvement through disciplined pursuit
- Team Leadership (15%)
- Lead Business Growth Associate and coordinate with Senior Solutions Architect
- Establish operating rhythm (Weekly Growth Sync, Pipeline Reviews)
- Conduct weekly pipeline reviews and forecasting
- Foster collaborative, outcome-oriented culture
- Operations (10%)
- Ensure CRM discipline and pipeline accuracy
- Produce monthly metrics reports and quarterly forecasts
- Maintain contract vehicle awareness
Experience
- 5+ years in federal contracting/Gov Con with sales/BD experience
- Proven track record of wins across multiple agencies
- Experience building client relationships and closing deals
- Deep understanding of federal acquisition process
Knowledge
- Federal procurement process

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or relevant advanced degree
- Existing relationships with DoD, DHS, IC clients
- Experience with small business (SDVOSB) BD
- Shipley or APMP certification
- Experience scaling BD function from startup phase
