Senior Accountant

A fast-growing learning organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This role will support financial operations related to online schools and will play a key role in general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close. The ideal candidate is a strong corporate accountant with experience managing the full accounting cycle and working within a collaborative team environment.

• Maintain and manage the general ledger for assigned entities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Complete required state financial reporting
• Assist with accounting setup for newly established entities
• Partner with operational leadership to address accounting and reporting matters
• Support the implementation of internal controls and accounting procedures
• Respond to financial inquiries in a timely manner
• Assist with annual audits and financial reporting requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with prior Senior Accountant experience preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (Great Plains is a plus)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
