* Job Summary:

** Oversees wine and beer department and ensures products are displayed in accordance with Company standards. Works with vendors to set up sampling events in order to promote product sales.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Develops professional relationships with customers and provides education on beer and wine as well as food pairings.
* Works with pricing department to ensure accuracy of price tags.
* Maintains thorough knowledge on all beer, wine, and humidor offerings.
* Maintains wine selection and provides management with input on requested wines/beers as well as top sellers.
* Assists with product ordering according to clientele, specific season, promotions, etc.
* Works with category management personnel to ensure vendor pricing is accurate and reasonable. Uses knowledge of sales and top items to help determine which products would be successful.
* Maintains appealing shelf displays and appropriate labeling of products according to Company standards.
* Monitors product inventory and evaluates to ensure assortment and variety in wine and beer offerings.
* Works with local vendors and distributors to select wine and beer products to be served in-store and on the patio.
* Partners with various departments to execute all merchandising policies to maximize sales and profits.
* Works with vendors on coordinating sampling events.
* Monitors and reports on competitive pricing activities to category management.
* Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives.
* Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
* Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, etc.

* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*** Advanced knowledge of alcohol regulations and guidelines.
* Advanced knowledge of beer and wine products.
* Ability to read and operate bar equipment such as corkscrews, draft beer dispensers, etc.
* Ability to learn new systems, methods, or processes.
* Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools.
* Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment.
* Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form.
* Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
* Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
