Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support teammates with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores that you service.

  • Starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00-$14.00 depending on skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are 8-10 hours per week.
  • Availability week before and after major holidays, possibly including weekends, is required.
Your Role And Responsibilities Will Include
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Use a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the department. Technology is critical for communication with supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store staff, management, and customers is vital. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    Additional days and extended hours during holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas may be required, including work on holidays themselves.
  • Department Resets:
    Participate in installations and tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Assignments are notified at least two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team support:
    As part of Hallmark's field organization, you support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This physically demanding job requires high energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand regularly and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • Consistent transportation to travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
