Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

Pay: $11.00-$14.00 per hour. Commission structure pays you for every transaction. Pawnbrokers can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $3.07 per hour on top of hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Their role includes greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate will work with various merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay will be based on work location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions according to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items following policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partners with employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Employees may be asked to assist customers outside premises or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and work with people.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate with POS systems and common office machines.

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process.
