Position: Line Cook Team Lead (Tyler)

Are you a culinary enthusiast with a passion for leading a team? Roost is looking for a friendly and skilled Team Lead Line Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team! In this role, you'll not only showcase your cooking talents but also inspire and guide your fellow cooks in creating delicious and beautiful dishes that our guests will love. As a Team Lead, you will be instrumental in maintaining a positive kitchen atmosphere while ensuring that our high standards of quality and presentation are met.

You will collaborate with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, train new team members, and ensure everything runs smoothly during peak service times. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have a knack for bringing out the best in others, we would love for you to share your culinary passion with us at Roost!

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the kitchen team to deliver outstanding dishes consistently.
  • Prepare and cook menu items, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workstation and upholding food safety standards.
  • Assist in training new team members and providing feedback to promote growth.
  • Collaborate with management to improve food quality and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to a positive and dynamic team environment.
  • Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Availability to work full-time and various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • A passionate love for food and a desire to create a great dining experience for guests.
