American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring prior travel experience, Epic proficiency, and night shift availability in Tyler, TX.

• Work on the 5 North Telemetry unit, a 36-bed unit with all private rooms
• Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients, with a focus on cardiac care and post-cardiac intervention recovery
• Priority admissions include patients recovering from cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant; hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients are also admitted
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license valid in Texas, required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible for this position:
  Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved for the contract; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted for this position
