Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
Responsibilities- CVICU setting with an average daily census of 7 patients across 10 beds
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Floating required to cardiac stepdown and other units of equal or lesser acuity
- Day shift schedule: 3x12‑hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Epic EMR experience required
- Key skills: interpretation of dysrhythmias, multisystem organ failure management, intra‑aortic balloon pump (IABP), post‑cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line/Swan‑Ganz monitoring, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilated patient care, and ABG interpretation
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU or equivalent specialty experience
- Prior travel nursing experience
- ECMO experience
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Dark gray scrubs required
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position; specifically, candidates living in the following TX counties are excluded:
Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris - Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and is not permitted during the first week of orientation
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- First‑time travelers should check with their recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
