Travel CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift in Tyler, TX: 13-week contract for experienced cardiac ICU nurses with ECMO and critical care skills.

• Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) / Cardiac ICU
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing (13-week contract)

• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Unit Size: 10 beds, average daily census of 7

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1770/week

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU / cardiac ICU experience (critical care RN)
• Proven experience with ECMO (veno-arterial and/or veno-venous)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system
• Ability to float to cardiac stepdown and units of equal or lesser acuity
• Preferred: previous charge experience, community hospital, LTAC, and trauma level I/II exposure
• Applicants must not reside in the following Texas counties:
  Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU
• Manage patients requiring advanced cardiovascular support, including ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and post-cardiac surgery care
• Assess and manage dysrhythmias, multisystem organ failure, and hemodynamic instability
• Insert, monitor, and manage arterial, central, and PICC lines per unit policy
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and ventilator management for intubated patients
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Document patient care thoroughly using Epic; maintain accurate charting and handoffs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and IV therapy
• Float to cardiac stepdown and other units as needed to support patient care and unit staffing

• Work in a state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit caring for complex cardiac patients
