Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with Epic experience and a TX or Compact RN license for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Medical Surgical ICU within a hospital setting

• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00

• Patient ratio is 1:2 in the ICU with 12 rooms

• Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity

• Uses Epic EMR and experience is required

• Weekend coverage includes 6 shifts per 6-week period

• Travel pairs or groups are not permitted

• Former staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler

• Applicants residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible

• Candidates from select counties are not eligible for contract positions

• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved; no time off during the first week of orientation

• Weekend and night coverage is required as part of the regular schedule

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required at time of consideration

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience required

• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required

• Epic charting experience required

• Level I Trauma experience preferred
