Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Tyler location. This role supports the Medical Oncology Department.

The LTIP typically vests over a three‑year period and is tied to individual performance and Texas Oncology’s operational success. Awards are discretionary, reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review, and are contingent on continued employment through the award payment date.
What Does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Do?Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients in accordance with national and company standards, recognizing the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participating in quality initiatives. The RN supports the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices
- Assess health status by interviewing the patient and reviewing medical history
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy line and record information in the patient chart
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments
- Triage patient phone calls and document relevant information in the chart
- Communicate between patient/family and interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care
- Assist patients in locating available community resources
- Inter‑professional collaboration
- Serve as a resource to LPNs, LVNs, and medical assistants
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program, BSN preferred
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience
- Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidates
- Current RN license with the state board of nursing in the practicing state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 40 lbs, and corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
